Item fairies are an odd group of fairies, whose bodies resemble inanimate objects. They all generally have the same abilities, though each one specialises in one special ability based on the object they resemble. It isn't really known where they come from or how they reproduce. Most item fairies tend to be feminine presenting in appearance and voice, though there are some exceptions. Below are some notable item fairies.
Here comes the Sofa Fairy! She can hear everything, and when she feels she is needed, she will appear. The Sofa Fairy usually helps people with furniture-related things, particularly stuff relating to sofas. But she is willing to grant wishes unrelated to furniture, though she charges her clients a huge amount of money when that happens.
Here comes the Fruit Salad Fairy! Oh god, not the Fruit Salad Fairy! She is the second oldest of all the item fairies (you don't want to know who's the oldest one), and she has instilled fear into all who are aware of her existence, due to how she likes to place a curse on people which turns them into fruits. The victims of this curse do still have faces, and they still can move around and even become immortal, but the victims will end up being vulnerable to getting eaten by practically anyone. Since no one can undo this curse aside from the Fruit Salad Fairy herself(though getting her to undo her curse would be as hard as getting Sneakers O'Toole to take his shoes off), a lot of people are so scared of her that they don't even want to utter her name!
